Wags & Walks was founded in 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Across their shelter and loyal foster network they can accommodate up to 124 dogs at a time. As part of their efforts to increase adoptability and positive long-term rehoming outcomes, DTUSA supported the expansion of their dog training program so that they could provide even more comprehensive training, socialization and enrichment. Through a DTUSA grant they have also received some shelter improvements, such as the installation of a heating, cooling and ventilation system to keep their kennels, staff and public comfortable in the California temperatures.
