Terre Haute Humane Society (THHS) has been caring for homeless animals for 117 years. The only shelter in a county where 19.4 % lives in poverty, THHS strive to assist in the management of the domestic animal population of Terre Haute, Indiana through community microchipping, spaying and neutering services, public education, events and ultimately, adoption of all the animals under their care.
Dogs Trust USA is providing a grant to purchase 10 outdoor kennels so they can host all the dogs who reside in the adoption and receiving pods (the only kennels that have no connection to an outside) while cleaning. This will improve the ability of staff to clean in a quicker and efficient way, leaving more time to dedicate to other care-taking activities.
