Helping dogs across America to live safe, happy lives

People Promoting Animal Welfare (PPAW), Tennessee

People Promoting Animal Welfare (PPAW) Spay Neuter Clinic is on a mission to reduce the number of unwanted dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies and thus help end the euthanasia of adoptable pets.

This spay/neuter project aims to target owners and pets that either are not seeking spay/neuter services or problem populations that are either overrepresented in shelters or at high risk of contributing to pet overpopulation. This includes off-site community outreach to find pet owners who are not seeking spay/neuter and/or are unlikely to be reached via social media campaigns.

So far, the local team are on track to reach the spay/neuter goal of 600 dogs. With support from Dogs Trust USA, PPAW are expanding their work in the local community to promote spay/neuter initiatives and understand what barriers there are to accessing services. Together we are offering spay/neuter surgeries particularly for breeds that are overrepresented in shelters and at high risk of contributing to pet overpopulation.

"I wanted to say THANK YOU for your services. You spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped my Anatolians (Anu and Nakki) last week. Your staff was so professional, and your services were beyond affordable. You are a blessing to the community. Thank you again, and keep up the good work! - Missy Kehler".
