Mississippi Spay and Neuter (MSPAN) run their busy spay and neuter clinic, The Big Fix Clinic, in Jackson Mississippi. Since 2005 they've performed 92,633 surgeries to help tackle unwanted dog breeding and abandonment that will reduce shelter intake and euthanasia. Dogs Trust USA is supporting them with a second targeted project for 312 low-income residents in 5 counties of the Jackson metro area to access their subsidised spay and neuter services. With targeted interventions such as this, we hope that intake and euthanasia rates at the area's local open admission shelter will continue to decline.
