Kauai Humane Society is the only open-admission shelter and low-cost vet clinic on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, taking care of 2,000 dogs per year. Dogs Trust USA is supporting Kauai Humane Society’s spay and neuter program by providing funds to purchase additional veterinary equipment for their second surgical suite to allow for an expansion in their services from 60 to 150 dogs per month - from 720 to 1,800 dogs per year. This in turn would aid their key objective of decreasing the number of abandoned animals and improving the overall health and quality of life for the pets that have been spayed or neutered.
